Hot Potato Comedy Club - Nov
There’s no mystery about it, he’s just wowed comedy fans with his latest TV smash!
And we have a huge treat coming up this month, with Jason Cook making a hugely welcome return as special guest MC at Hot Potato’s monthly adventure at the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday 25 November.
Jason hits the stage fresh from a truckload of glowing reviews for Murder on the Blackpool Express, which aired last weekend on the Gold TV channel to widespread acclaim – with fans and TV critics already clamouring for a sequel to the specially commissioned show.
Described by The Mirror as a ‘marvellous mix of Murder Most Horrid and Midsomer Murders’, the show, written and created by Jason, starred Johnny Vegas, Car Share’s Sian Gibson, Griff Rhys Jones, Nigel Havers, Una Stubbs and a host of other household names.
So, we’re in for a huge treat when Jason gets back into stand-up mode and hosts a typically ace line-up of hi-octane Aussie Damian Clark, hotly-tipped George Lewis and promising newcomer Carl Jones on 25 November.
Damian Clark’s fast & furiously uplifting comedy has bagged worldwide critical acclaim, leaving comedy crowds in hysterics wherever he goes.
“Infectious, hilarious and highly recommended.” Kevin Bridges.
“Scorchingly funny and charmingly engaging.” Chortle.
Hotly-tipped George Lewis followed in the footsteps of Jack Whitehall and Sarah Millican to win the Amused National New Comic Award at the Edinburgh Fringe.
He’s since supported Romesh Ranganathan on tour, and presents BBC’s Top Gear spin-off Extra Gear.
“An expert craftsman.” Chortle.
Top support comes from Carl Jones – so let’s get set for a top night all round!
Small print thingy: Line-ups occasionally subject to change. Not for the easily offended.
