It makes full use of its dunes, bents and gorse so that it appears easy on the eye but hard on the scorecard.All of the courses are fairly long, the Old course measures 6633 yards, Micklem 6594 yards,with the mammoth 6920 yards Brabazon, so good stamina is essential to see you round these 18 holes, as is good concentration and accurate hitting.
