Built originally built in 1897 as the department store 'Hill and Carter', the building was renovated in 1997; neighbouring buildings were incorporated to restore the exterior appearance to its original grandeur. It was completely transformed internally to provide a twenty six bedroom hotel, with a Rooftop Restaurant offering stunning views of Hartlepool and the Marina, several public bars, a nightclub and 2 function suites with seating for 130 people. The hotel is located opposite the railway station, ideally placed for both business and pleasure.
