Fisherman’s Cottage is a Grade II listed cottage in a conservation area with gorgeous views over Hartlepool Bay and St Hilda’s Church. This quiet delightful dwelling was built in the late eighteenth century and has retained the inherent charm of the era. 

The cottage is equipped with everything needed for a relaxing retreat, but doesn't have a TV or Wi-Fi, ensuring that your holiday is a real escape from the outside world. There is also a multi-fuel stove that helps create a cosy feeling of solitude, excellent for those who just want a break from the busy life of the city. 

Situated in Hartlepool's Headland area, this part of the town is steeped in history, with the first settlers coming to the area around 640 AD. In 1914 the Headland was shelled by the Imperial German Navy, marking the first death on British soil in WWI. The area is now more known for its fishing, with many shops selling freshly caught fish and the famous Verrills fish and chip shop only 200 yards from the cottage.
